Alfred Vargas and LJ Reyes have gone their separate ways

(more…)

Jalosjos sighted at derma clinic

Convicted child rapist and former Zamboanga del Norte Rep. Romeo Jalosjos, who is serving time at the New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) in Muntinlupa, was seen in Makati City last Wednesday.

ABS-CBN broadcaster Bernadette Sembrano told radio station dzMM that she saw Jalosjos at a dermatology clinic accompanied by one man and a female staffer.

Sembrano said she was waiting at the clinic when the convict’s group barged in and the female staffer told the receptionist that “Congressman Jalosjos has an appointment” with the dermatologist.

“He was wearing white shorts, a white shirt, slippers, and dark glasses, and he looked healthy,” she said.

Sembrano said Jalosjos and his companions came out of the clinic 15 minutes later.

She added seeing a waiting vehicle outside the clinic with license plates bearing the No. 8, but that she was not sure if the former congressman used it.

She stressed that she was surprised why Jalosjos was in Makati City since he was supposed to be in jail in Muntinlupa. (more…)

Beau Belga led the Filipinos in scoring with 17 points, with his teammates sharing almost equally the balance. Jonathan Fernandez made 16, and Boyet Bautista and Allan Salansang made 15 points each.

Five nations are competing in the single round-robin tournament with the leading team after the round bagging the championship.

Aga Muhlach gets serious with education-related projects

“Right now, me and my wife are really thinking of… Matagal ko na ring pangarap ito, more than toys and books, we’re thinking really of parang… Wouldn’t it be nice if may mabalitaan kayo na, hopefully, makapag-partner kami with Jollibee na makapagpatayo ng eskuwelahan naman, di ba?”

(more…)

Peso finishes at 41.74:$1 due to Christmas remittances

The peso touched a new seven-year high against the dollar on Friday, closing at 41.74 to the greenback.

Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas showed that the peso last touched P41.73 to a dollar on May 18, 2000.

GMA Artist Center has the last say on the renewal of Jennlyn Mercado’s contract

ARTIST CENTER’S SIDE.

“I don’t think so,” nakangiting pahayag ni Ms. Ida. Mayroong after ng first contract nila, may option kami to renew them for two years.

Like what I’ve said, we have the last say tungkol sa pagre-renew ng contract niya,” diin ng Artist Center head. (more…)
